Capsule - Fall 2015

Capsule - Fall 2015

This is the first installment in project CAPSULE.  This new series gives a single designer the stage to present a whole fashion story told in Brooklyn Tweed wool.  The patterns are published by Brooklyn Tweed and Jared photographs the garments, but the most exciting part of all is that each CAPSULE collection is offered as a high-quality book.

This book is a collection from Olga Buraya-Kefelian.  Her garments are timeless, always wearable and constructed with the knitter’s experience in mind.

Dress a Girl Around the World

Dress a Girl Around the World

If you feel that every girl should at least own one pretty dress, then please join us at The Constant Knitter on Sunday the 27th of April, 14:00-18:00, for what we are hoping its going to turn into a sewing frenzy! We are asking you to turn a pretty pillowcase into a simple dress for a little girl living in poverty in the developing world. We are also going to make shorts for the boys out of t-shirts. You don’t have to be able to sew – if you can cut or iron that would be very helpful too.

If you would like to take part at this event please send us an email so that we know how many people to expect. You are very welcome to bring family and friends too….

Sewing machines will be supplied – all you have to bring is a pillow case or similar amount of fabric, threads, some elastic, maybe some trims to make the dresses even more special. We would love you to join us….there will also be tea and cakes!!
