Cat Bordhi and Kieran Foley in the same room at the same time!

Friday, May 13th, 2016

We had a great evening and Cat and her Group met with some local (also Belfast and Cork) knitters, all decked out in Cat Bordhi creations.  Lots of Cat Bordhi socks in evidence!

Here are some photographs,  only one or two of them mine!  Jim and Cat took the rest.

Can’t wait for their next visit May 2017.

Greystone Shawl by Christina Wilkins, Twist Collective Fall 2013

This shawl was made by Mary with Smudge Merino laceweight.  It is L-shaped with one arm longer than the other. The piece begins with a square at center back, worked from the center out. Two sides of the square are bound off, and the remaining two sides extended to form the wings of the shawl.  Apart from its construction, I think the cables combined with the lace make it exceptional!

Smudge Yarns Merino Superwash Laceweight. Hand dyed in Ireland

One of the best parts of my job is opening boxes arriving to the shop.  Yesterday it was a shipment of Merino laceweight in 9 delightful colours from Sarah of Smudge Yarns in Cork!!  These were all hand dyed in Ireland by Sara specially for The Constant Knitter.  She worked with me on choosing the colours and I’m delighted with them all.
