Sew Irish Group on Ravelry

Sew Irish Group on Ravelry

This is being organised by Sew Irish on Ravelry

The summer Sew In will be on Friday 20th July from 5pm

Venue: The Constant Knitter’s Studio, 88 Francis Street

Something old, something new…upcycling your old and unwanted clothes into something chic! Bring a clothing item from your wardrobe or a charity shop purchase that needs a refreshing new look or upcycling.

Meet and mingle with the sewistas to get advice & ideas on how to change the look of your garment, then get started on your project.

We welcome any bits and bobs from your haberdashery stash for our treasure trove of embellishing items for this meet up.

Other items to bring along with you:

scissors
seam ripper
thread
measuring tape
straight pins

Classes at The Constant Knitter

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

Maire Treanor’s workshop for 26 May is full, but there is a waiting list so please get in touch in case there are any cancellations.  We will be having a similar and very exciting event on 23rd June, so keep in touch!

We still have room on our knitting and crochet classes with Bairbre and Wendy on Thursday evenings – you can either book for one class or a set of four.  These classes are ideal for both beginners and improvers.

Sewing classes with Theresa Czerniak of The Sewing Room continue every Wednesday morning at 10.30 and Wednesday evening at 6.30 and every Saturday morning @11.00.

Finally, how would you like to try your hand at wet felting and make a flower (next week it’s felted clutch bag) with Niki Collier of Niki Collier Design on Friday morning at 10.30 am?  All materials supplied.

Contact me at 087 996 7197 or at info@theconstantknitter.ie for more details or to enrol.
