I have just been given a pair of tickets to The Knitting & Stitching show, valid Thursday 30, Friday 31 October and Sunday 2 November.
First person in tomorrow (Wednesday) who asks for them gets them!
Speaking of neon, (Sock Stop post) we got some Rico Glow Work in this week! This contains a reflective material and would be ideal for kids clothes. There are some hat patterns specially for this. It looks quite spooky in the stock room!
You will easily get a hat from 100g on big 7-8mm needles.
Days like this I love my job. My job today was to open the box and unwrap the above skeins of hand dyed yarn from Life in the Long Grass, an artisan yarn dying studio in Co Cork.
And to add to the drama, Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights came on the radio just as I was unpacking the Heathcliff colourway!
Arrived in today, Neon Sock Stop. This is great stuff for stopping you sliding all over the place. You add it to the bottom of hand knit or crochet socks and slippers. Each bottle should do a few pairs.

This brand new offering from Katia is really stunning! 85% Virgin Wool, 15% Super-Fine Alpaca with approx 50m / 55 yards per 100g. It knits to 1.75 sts per inch on a 12mm needle. The colours are really vibrant and 1 ball will easily make a (very quick!) hat
