Donegal Wool Spinning Company

Donegal Wool Spinning Company

Donegal Wool Spinning Company

This is the newest offering from Studio Donegal and I love it!  The majority of the colours are new (my photograph doesn’t do them justice) and so you won’t find them in the Donegal Tweed or the Soft Donegal.  It is made from the same wool as the Tweed BUT it is 2 ply and very much softer.  It actually feels closer to the Soft Donegal.

It comes in 100g hanks with 200m so it is in the DK category.

I will be adding it to the website over the next few days.

Lazadas Blocking Wires

Lazadas Blocking Wires

Lazadas Blocking Wires

Just arrived today and they are fabulous!

The Lazadas blocking wires are used for shaping and setting knitting or crocheted projects.  Blocking your finished garments gives them a really professional finish and will help to smooth and uncurl edges, open lace work and shape the pieces to the exact measurement you want.

These wires are super elastic – they can be bent but will snap back to their original shape after use.

They are the most versatile blocking wires and can be used for straight, circular, half moon and even scalloped shapes. They can also be used for blocking fine lace to chunky yarn and they will not leave rust marks on your garment.

The packaging is the best I have seen – the little bag measures only 6″ x 9.5″ and has a gusset so it can stand up or fold up flat and takes up hardly any space.

So far, they have been vary favourably reviewed!

They come in 4 different sizes and cost from e24.99.
