Irish Guild of Weavers Spinners & Dyers :  Sun 19 July, 2-5pm

The monthly meeting of The Eastern Region Guild Meet of The Irish Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers will take place in the studio over the shop next Saturday afternoon.  Free to attend plus there is free parking on Francis Street on Sundays.  You can try some spinning or weaving.

Crewel Work Workshop :  Sat 18 July, 11-5pm

With Renata Tesu, who trained at the Royal School of Needlework in Hampton Court.  Crewel work is surface embroidery with 2ply wool.  The aim of the workshop is, working from a kit, to learn from 5-8 stitches and be able to finish your project at home.

Blooming Bunting at The Constant Knitter

Blooming Bunting at The Constant Knitter

The Hanging Gardens of Dublin :  Wed 20 May, 2-5pm

Starting the week, we will have Ashleigh of Blooming Bunting here as part of a creative green community project.  Blooming Bunting want to transform a dreary lane beside Dublin Castle into a dazzling, bunting-filled, imaginative hanging garden.  They need lengths of bunting (approx. 3m or more long).  You can help by joining Ashleigh and Dee Harte, textile designer and sewing tutor here at The Constant Knitter, to make miles of bunting for this community project!  This project forms part of BloomFringe 2015.  Promises to be a fun filled afternoon and you might even learn some basic sewing!  You don’t have to be an experienced sewer to help – just come along!
